The ArCoNet Faculty Quartet will open the performance with a Minuet, a traditional French dance found frequently in compositions by J. S. Bach and W. A. Mozart. The Chamber Orchestra will then demonstrate music in the style of a waltz with the second movement of Suk’s beautiful Serenade for Strings and Gaban con Gavilan en Fuga, a recent arrangement of a Venezuelan Joropo. The Youth Orchestra will conclude the program with a few movements that represent various dances from the Holberg Suite, followed by the exciting El Cumbanchero.
