The ArCoNet Private Lessons Program is designed to combine a highly disciplined musical training process with unique opportunities for performance for young string players. The program places utmost importance on excellent teaching, counseling and coaching in the development of the young musician. Our faculty is comprised of master teachers in their instrument, with international backgrounds and outstanding performing careers as well as music educators
The private lesson curriculum is based on teaching the students the basic elements to master their instrument, regardless of age or experience. The solo private lesson material includes the study of : scales, etudes, concertos, solo pieces, and sonatas. The curriculum will vary depending on age and ability.

ArCoNet String Orchestras (Youth and Chamber)

The ArCoNet Youth and Chamber Orchestra program provides mentoring and performance opportunities to students of elementary through college ages. Program offering includes:
- Youth and Chamber Orchestra training and performances
- Side by Side performances with members of the ArCoNet Faculty, College students, alumni and International students
- Collaborations with performers from the Lancaster Symphony, Harrisburg Symphony, Dali Quartet, Philadelphia Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony
- Guest conductors
- Chamber Music Coaching and Master Classes opportunities
- Weekly rehearsals and coachings
- Master Classes from guest distinguished faculty from the Dali Quartet, Philadelphia Orchestra, Juilliard School of Music and Curtis Institute

*The ArCoNet Orchestras also participate in the Dali Quartet International Music Festival in the Summer.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must be studying with a private teacher and have a minimum of three years of private instruction (Youth) and six years of instruction (Chamber)
Candidates must submit a letter of recommendation from their private teacher.
AUDITION REPERTOIRE
YOUTH ORCHESTRA
- One major scale of your choice, 3 octaves
- One minor scale of your choice, 3 octaves
- A technical Etude of your choice
- A solo piece/major concerto. There will not be a pianist, so the student should be prepared to play unaccompanied.
- Sight reading (live auditions ONLY; music will be provided)
CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
- One major scale of your choice, 3 octaves
- One minor scale of your choice, 3 octaves
- A technical Etude of your choice
- A movement from a Bach Suite, Partita or Sonata
- A solo piece/major concerto. There will not be a pianist, so the student should be prepared to play unaccompanied.
- Sight reading (live auditions ONLY; music will be provided)

Dali Quartet International Music Festival
2021 Dates: Monday August 9th through Saturday July August 14th
This year we will offer a modified version of the DQMF in person for 10 string quartets, with an option of online master classes and workshops. More information about the 2021 DQMF coming soon.

The Dalí Quartet International Music Festival (DQMF) is a recognized chamber music and orchestral program founded in 2004 by Venezuelan violist Adriana Linares and violinist Carlos Rubio (members of the Dali String Quartet). The DQMF runs under the umbrella of ArCoNet, the Arts & Community Network, in collaboration with members of the Dali Quartet and the ArCoNet Faculty.
The DQMF offers students a unique experience through artistic, musical, educational, cultural and social experiences. Since its foundation in 2004, the Festival has attracted hundreds of musicians from all over the USA states, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and Puerto Rico. The DCQF accepts students from beginner/intermediate through advanced/semi-professional levels.
At the DQMF, students attend faculty recitals, daily chamber music coaching/rehearsals, string orchestra sectionals/rehearsals, master classes, fun social integrating activities, and a variety of workshops topics such as:
BAPNE Body Percussion, Instrument Making, Body Mapping and Body Awareness, Jazz Improvisation, College Preparation/Career Opportunities in Music, Venezuelan Folk Music, Brazilian Percussion, Japanese Flute, Middle Eastern Music, and Puerto Rican Plena Dance.
Daily Coaching and Master Classes are led by prominent artist faculty with active international careers in music education and performance including members of the Dali Quartet, ArCoNet Academy, Philadelphia Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony and the New York City Ballet Orchestra and music faculty from The Oberlin Conservatory, Indiana University, Michigan State University, the Curtis Institute of Music, ArCoNet and Temple University.
The ten day experience culminates with three exciting chamber music recitals featuring student chamber music groups and a Grand Finale Concert featuring three orchestra divisions: The Junior, The Youth and the Pre-College/College/Faculty. The performance ends with the Festival Orchestra comprised of all the students and faculty on stage.
Current participants and alumni from the DQMF have followed careers in music having attended prestigious institutions such as the Curtis Institute of Music, Reina Sofia Conservatory, The Cleveland Institute of Music, Bard Conservatory, the Colburn School, University of Michigan, the New England Conservatory, Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, among others.

The ArCoNet Strings Boot Camps is a bi-annual program, best suited for high school, college and semi-professional string players with an advanced level of playing. Our experienced string faculty will serve as mentors for daily routines including:
- Morning supervised private practices, private lessons, group classes
- Seminar style master classes on BACH, efficient practicing, performance anxiety, college preparation, mock auditions.
- Guest artists master classes
ArCoNet assembles a group of outstanding teaching artists with extensive careers in music performance and education. We are committed to working and support with each student to accomplish their musical goals. Our faculty and guest artists enjoy teaching and performing careers with the Dali Quartet, the ArCoNet Strings Program, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Curtis Institute of Music, Temple University, and the Annapolis Symphony among other esteemed organizations in the country.
Current and past ArCoNet Strings Boot Camp participants include international students from Puerto Rico and Venezuela; college students from Indiana University, Temple University, the Cleveland Institute of Music, New England Conservatory and high school students from The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Philadelphia Sinfonia and the ArCoNet Strings Program.

ArCoNet Pre-College Preparatory

The purpose of the ArCoNet Pre-College Preparatory program is to prepare musicians in the path for a career, both as performers and/or educators. The ArCoNet Pre-College Program places extreme importance on excellent teaching, counseling and coaching in the development of a young musician. Career advise and college preparation is a rigorous process, as it requires careful preparation, full support and extensive counseling. When a student is part of the ArCoNet Pre-College Program, the faculty is fully committed to helping the student make the right decision to select the ideal school. A central component of the program is to create a Holistic Plan tailored to the individual needs.
Pre-College Curriculum:
- Instrument Training – 60/90 minute weekly private lessons
- Solo performances in preparation to the auditions at: Studio Master Class, Solo Recitals, and Community venues.
- Theory and Secondary Piano training in preparation for college exams.
- Chamber Music coaching and performances.
- Advocacy – Professional advice on all aspects of the college preparatory process, including but not limited to, college applications, scholarships, selection and guidance of schools, repertoire, etc.
- Outreach – Opportunities to perform as part of the Community Outreach Programs.
- Mentorships – Assist in private lessons for Elementary and Middle School program students, coach younger groups at the Dali Quartet Festival, and Junior Camps.
- Students in the College Preparatory Program have been accepted in prestigious institutions including: Curtis Institute of Music, Juilliard School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Lynn Conservatory, New England Conservatory, University of Michigan, Rice University, Indiana University Jacob’s School of Music, Carnegie Mellon University, Hartt School of Music, among others.

ArCoNet Community Outreach Program
The ArCoNet Community Outreach Program encompasses charitable activities and philanthropic causes that promote the human quality of life. ArCoNet Community Outreach Program embraces an educational and a performing component, as our musician students or faculty can perform concerts at retirement homes, and underserved communities, or establish a weekly/monthly musical program at diverse organizations.
The ArCoNet Community Outreach Programs provide a vehicle to bring the gift of music to others in the spirit of community service. Current collaborating organizations include: The North Penn Commons and The Lansdale Peak Center, The Kensington Library, ACLAMO Family Center, Manor College, among others.

Internship and Assistantship
ArCoNet goals is to carry out children and young adults dreams and to bring them closer to the Music world in order to create a new biosphere that make them for self-improvements, esteem and self-actualization. Fruit of the outcome of the Community Outreach program and also paying close attention to the needs of the families that ArCoNet Serves; our organization offers Financial Support based on merits and for socioeconomically challenged individuals and families.
Another dimension in this area is the Assistantship option, where advanced college students and others will support and assist faculty members in the educational and performing activities.

BAPNE
This method, created by Dr. Javier Romero, is based on the use of body percussion and rhythms to stimulate cognitive functions in order to develop multiple intelligences and improve abilities in processes such as attention, concentration, memory, brain lateralization and body dissociation. The methodology also provides resources and tools for people with special educational needs and some specific conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, brain damage, cognitive impairment, among others.
ArCoNet is a member of BAPNE Network of partners and leverage the method and Philosophy in the United States territory. The ArCoNet-BAPNE programs are organized in four vertical dimensions: Workshops (three different levels), Certification, International seminar of Music, Voice and Movement and Therapeutic practice.

ArCoNet Theory Programs
This Fall!
ArCoNet Theory Workshops are introductory courses on important topics in musical theory — necessary knowledge in becoming a well-rounded musician. Starting with such fundamentals as intervals, key signatures, time signatures, and scales, the workshops will delve into the workings of harmony, form, structure, and even musical history. Musical examples will come from this semester’s orchestra music as well as other significant pieces in the repertoire. Students will be able to apply their new theory knowledge through small musical compositions throughout the course.

- Pre-College Workshops: Ages 15 and up

ArCoNet COMMUNITY SINGERS
If you love to sing, we invite you to join the ArCoNet Community Singers!
The ArCoNet Community Singers is a non-audition community chorus, bringing together singers of all ages with a desire to share a love of music with the community. We welcome all who are excited about singing and who can match a pitch and carry a tune!
We are looking forward to the start of our third season. Our first rehearsal will be Tuesday, October 17th at 7pm. We meet on a weekly basis and rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30pm at the North Penn Church of Christ, 300 N. North Wales Rd, North Wales, PA.

BEGINNING TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10th!!
A specially designed group class for Pre-Kindergarten age children ages: 3-5yrs old.
“TUNE TIME” is an exciting new class we are offering to preschool age children. It is intended to provide early music education to young children and develop in them a love for music. The class will include opportunities to explore sound, matching a pitch, singing, rhythm patterns, movement, listening skills, imitation, and an introduction to beginner violin in a small group setting with a parent/caregiver. Lead by Lisa Paino, ArCoNet Piano Faculty and General Music Teacher PreK-8 at Penn Christian Academy. Over 10 years of Early Childhood music education experience!
